RSS in Plain English

I could not resist posting this video here - it talks about RSS readers and why we should use them - something we've been exploring recently...

Funny. I see it alright. Anyone else having trouble watching it? You need to double-click it...

Duble-click on it. Then ask for User name and password. ???

That's the original url: http://dotsub.com/films/watch/index.php?filmid=444&language=none
I haven't registered there but I can see it without any problems on my computer (I use Vista) - both on the original site and here, embedded in our blog... I can't see it on my laptop though (where I have Windows XP).

Yup, this way, from direct - original site can be seen without registering - by entering complete address in browser:

http://dotsub.com/films/watch/index.php?filmid=444&language=none

Through the blog's link it doesn’t work on XP.

It is really in PLAIN English.

Živjo, Saša and students.

I enjoy this blog and have visited it a number of times. I've also visited many of the blogs of individual students.

"RSS in Plain English" was the best introduction to RSS that I've ever seen. Besides being entertaining and engaging, it was short and to the point (unlike many sites that give so much information about feeds and aggregators and syndication that it's hard to know where to start and what to do next).

Hvala, Saša, for finding and sharing this excellent resource!

Dobrodošel, Dennis, lepo te je spet srečati tu. ;-)
I'm glad you guys like the video and the way it explains RSS. It's really in plain English, Igor, yes. It is aimed at general public, not nerds. Pretty much enough a general user needs to know, isn't it? I kind of like things explained in an easy to understand way. I'm also a big fan of user guides for dummies. :-)

Hi Dennis, what a wonderful surprise! Thank you for stopping by. I like the word 'squiggle'. :-)It's a challenge to find it with your keyboard.
